Riley Manning was an incredible young man who lived a lifetime in his 18 short years. He was an adventurous, curious, compassionate, loyal, kind-hearted soul who made a lasting impression on everyone who met him. Riley valued his friends and family, believed in giving back, and understood that everyday life was an adventure to be experienced and participated in. The Riley Manning Memorial Fund was established to honor the life of this extraordinary young man. The fund accomplishes this goal through ongoing support of "The Shield 304 Award", "The VBISD Construction Trades Award", and through various donations to community projects and organizations that were important to Riley.
Administered by the Lawton Firefighter Association, The Shield 304 Award offers financial assistance to qualifying individuals pursuing educational opportunities or those seeking additional first responder training.
The VBISD Construction Trades Award is currently under development with plans to launch in early 2020. This will be a non-traditional monetary award. Please check back for additional information and updates.
